Calendar Submission Form

The form below should be used to submit announcements to Big Island Weekly's Calendar section. Before completing the form, please review the Calendar section to see how announcements appear in print.

Fill out all fields and select the category under which you’d like your item to appear. Send your announcement at least two (2) weeks prior to the event. While Big Island Weekly makes every effort to accommodate announcements submitted by the community, publication is not guaranteed. Also, preference is given to free events that are open to the public.

This form is intended for community use only and should not be used to submit spam, business solicitations or press releases about events or activities that do not occur on the Big Island.

Details: Describe your event briefly, and include any cost. Please note that this field is limited to 250 characters, or about 40 words.

Photo: Photos must be sent separately to biwphotos@hawaii.rr.com. They should be at least 5 by 7 inches in size, 200 pixels per inch resolution. A .jpeg photo this size will probably be about 250 KB in size. Smaller photos don't reproduce well in the newspaper and likely won't be used. Photos larger than 2 MB will be rejected by our server.
